In addition, the participants awareness of sports and their orientation to sports activities were also examined in terms of various variables. Quantitative research approach was adopted in the research, shaped within the framework of the relational survey model. The sample of the study consists of 299 110 female, 189 male local government employees, included in the study using the simple random sampling method in the province of Istanbul. In the collection of research data, Sports Awareness Scale SAS, Sports Activities Orientation Scale SAOS and Personal Information Form were used. Analysis of the research data was carried out using the SPSS 20.0 program. Independent Samples t-Test and One-Way ANOVA test were used in the analysis of the research data, found to have normal distribution, to determine the differences between the variables. The level of relations between the scales was determined by Pearson Correlation Analysis. In line with the findings obtained at the end of the research, the participants SAOS mean score was found to be 3.48 0.82, and their SAS mean score was 3.76 0.63 Measuring tools are 5-point scales. As a result of the correlation analysis, it was determined that there was a highly positive and significant relationship between the level of sports awareness and the level of orientation towards sports activities p0.05. In addition, the participants awareness of sports and their orientation to sports activities did not differ according to the variables of age and being a parent; It was determined that it differs according to gender Male Female, education status undergraduate and graduate - high school graduate primary and secondary education graduate and whether there are athletes or individuals with a sports background in the family Yes No.
