Özet:

The employment of children on the streets brings with it many risk factors. In this study, which was conducted using a qualitative research design to find out what the problems and needs of children working on the streets are, face-to-face interviews were conducted with 11 children working in the city center of Ankara. The data collected through in-depth interviews using a semi-structured interview form developed by the researchers were analyzed using the MAXQDA 2020 package program. According to the results obtained from the research, four main themes were identified as sociodemographic and family characteristics of street working children, educational characteristics of street working children, problems experienced by street working children, needs of street working children. As a result of the research, it was determined that most of the children working in the streets are primary school-age boys, coming from multi-generational families, their families have low socioeconomic status and low level of education, and children are employed on the streets to contribution to the family budget.

Sokakta çalıştırılan çocukların yaşadıkları sorunların ve ihtiyaçlarının neler olduğunu öğrenmek amacıyla nitel araştırma tasarımı kullanılarak yapılan bu araştırmada, Ankara ilinde kent merkezinde çalışan 11 çocuk ile yüz yüze görüşmeler gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmacılar tarafından geliştirilen yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu aracılığıyla derinlemesine görüşmelerle toplanan veriler MAXQDA 2020 paket programı kullanılarak çözümlenmiştir. Araştırmadan elde edilen sonuçlara göre sokakta çalıştırılan çocukların sosyodemografik ve aile özellikleri, sokakta çalıştırılan çocukların eğitim özellikleri sokakta çalıştırılan çocukların yaşadıkları sorunlar, sokakta çalıştırılan çocukların ihtiyaçları gibi dört ana tema belirlenmiştir.
