Özet:

Hannah Arendts conception of political judgment is theoretically grounded in Kants understanding of aesthetic judgment. Arendt states that judgement is not only the ability to evaluate the aesthetic qualities of objects, but also the capacity to discern between right and wrong in a political context. This study will examine Kants theories concerning the formation of aesthetic judgements, as outlined in his Critique of Judgement. It will further analyse how Arendt interprets concepts such as sensus communis, enlarged mentality and representational thinking, which function as the tools of this process, through the lens of political judgement. Thus, it will demonstrate that political judgement relies on the capacity of the individual to think not only for themselves but for everyone, making it a pluralistic and public sphere-oriented activity.
