Özet:

Mevlâna Celaleddin-i Rumi, a revered Muslim poet and mystic from the 13th century, lived during a tumultuous period marked by Mongol invasions. His works, deeply influenced by the sociopolitical climate of his time, aimed to alleviate tensions within Islam, reconcile disparate ethnic communities and world religions, and foster international peace. This text is a comprehensive review of four musical stage works that draw inspiration from Mevlânas life and teachings. The data for this review was meticulously gathered from various sources, including the archives of the State Opera and Ballet, newspapers, magazines, and electronic indexes. The musical works analyzed in this review include three oratorios and one ballet, each of which encapsulates elements of Mevlânas philosophy, his poignant poems, and significant events from his life. The composers perspectives on their own works are also discussed, providing a deeper understanding of their creative process and the interpretation of Mevlânas teachings. The year 2023 holds special significance as it has been declared the Mevlâna Year by the Turkish Presidency, marking the 750th death anniversary of this influential figure. This review aims to contribute to the ongoing research on Mevlâna, serving as a valuable reference for future studies. It underscores the enduring relevance of Mevlânas teachings, as reflected in these musical works, and their potential to bridge cultural and religious divides. The universal appeal of Mevlânas philosophy, articulated through the language of music, reaffirms his legacy as a symbol of unity and peace.

Devlet Opera ve Balesi arşivinde 1930 yılından bu yana sahneye konan müzikli sahne yapıtlarını incelenerek 10 Türk oratoryosu içinde; Mustafa Erdoğanın Candan Cana Mevlâna, Can Atillanın Mevlâna 800.Yıl Oratoryosu, 64 Türk bale eseri içinde Can Atillanın Çağrı adlı bale eserinin Mevlanayı konu aldığı saptanmıştır. Araştırmamızda gazete, dergi ve diğer elektronik indeksleri incelenmesi sonucunda Ali Doğan Sinangilin Mevlâna Neyin Söyledikleri, başlıklı oratoryosuna ulaşılmıştır. Çalışmada eser içerik bilgilerinin yanısıra bestecilerin eseriyle ilgili düşüncelerine de yer verilmiştir. Araştırmada betimsel araştırma yöntemi, veri toplama sürecinde belgesel tarama tekniği kullanılmıştır.
