Özet:

The Battle of Gameshvan is one of the events in Kurdish history that occurred at the beginning of the 20th century and caused the death of many people. Since many people lost their lives in this conflict, the state authorities of the time looked into the issue seriously and demanded that more precautions be taken to prevent further bloodshed. Also, this event has given its color to the songs of the dengbêjs. In this article, with the descriptive and comparative method, an attempt has been made to understand the reasons for the conflict that took place in the village of Gameshvan in 1907 in the light of the documents of the Ottoman archives and the songs of the dengbêjs and whether the historical documents and the words of the dengbêjs are different from each other or not. In this context, these documents and songs have been compared and analyzed. The research has shown that the only concern of the government officials speaking in the documents is the security system and stability, and questions such as the cause of the conflict and how many people were killed as a result of the conflict are not important to them. But in the songs, the battlefield is described and the heroes are introduced with their characteristics.
