SWOT Analysis at the Level of Selected Companies Operating in DEPARK in Izmir within the Scope of Tax and Accounting Applications of Technology Development Zones and R&D / Design Centers

 According to the current statistical data on the website of the Republic of Turkey Ministry of Industry and Technology, as of September 3, 2024, there are a total of 102 Technology Development Zones TDZs 91 of which are operational and 11 of which are in the process of construction, 1.323 RD and 336 Design Centers across Turkey August 31, 2024. Izmir province has five TDZs four of which are operational, with a new zone under construction in April 2024, 99 RD and 25 Design Centers. A SWOT Analysis was conducted at the level of five participant companies selected by us in Dokuz Eylul University Technopark DEPARK Tınaztepe Technopark TDZ-1 in Izmir province for the effect of operating in TDZ and RD  Design Centers on firm tax and accounting applications, which are important issues in the literature. Data were collected through an interview form three parts: participant  firm characteristics, SWOT dimensions prepared by us between April-June 2023. As a result, according to the SWOT Analysis of a few selected companies in DEPARK TDZ-1 in Izmir province; it has been determined that the effectiveness of legal legislation and regulations in Turkey has a positive impact on both tax and accounting applications in the region.

 T.C. Sanayi ve Teknoloji Bakanlığı internet sitesindeki güncellenen istatistiki verilere göre güncelleme tarihi 03.09.2024 itibarıyla Türkiye genelinde Ağustos 31, 2024 toplam 102 Teknoloji Geliştirme Bölgesi TGB 91i faaliyetini sürdüren, 11i henüz yapılaşma sürecinde, 1.323 Ar-Ge ve 336 Tasarım Merkezi bulunmaktadır. İzmir ilinde beş TGB dördü faaliyette, yeni bir bölge -Nisan 2024- alt yapı çalışmaları devam eden, 99 Ar-Ge ile 25 Tasarım Merkezi vardır. Alan yazında önem arz eden konulardan TGB ile Ar-Ge  Tasarım Merkezlerinde faaliyet yürütmenin firma vergi ve muhasebe uygulamalarına etkisine yönelik, İzmir ilindeki Dokuz Eylül Üniversitesi Teknoparkı DEPARK Tınaztepe Teknoparkı TGB-1de tarafımızca seçilen araştırmaya gönüllü katılımcı beş firma düzeyinde SWOT Analizi yapılmıştır. Nisan-Haziran 2023 döneminde tarafımızca hazırlanan görüşme formu üç kısım: katılımcı  firma özellikleri, SWOT boyutları aracılığıyla veriler toplanmıştır. Sonuç olarak İzmir ilindeki DEPARK TGB-1de seçilmiş birkaç firmanın SWOT Analizi ne göre; bölgede Türkiyedeki yasal mevzuat ve düzenlemelerin etkinliğinin hem vergi hem muhasebe uygulamalarına olumlu yönde etki ettiği tespit edilmiştir.
