 The study aims to evaluate the 7th Grade Mathematics Curriculum and textbook in terms of their association with daily life. In this context, the mathematics curriculum and textbook were examined in order to relate them to daily life, and the opinions of mathematics teachers were also consulted. This research was prepared according to the qualitative research model. A single case study design was used in the study and document analysis was conducted. The 7th Grade Mathematics Textbook, which is still in use and distributed to schools by the Ministry of National Education, was examined. In order to ensure the validity and reliability of the research, data sources were examined within the scope of the article through data collection prepared in line with the aims and objectives. The opinions of a mathematics teacher and an expert were consulted. Reliability was found to be 100. According to the evaluations in the first preparation phase of the measurement tool; When the relationship between the topics in the textbook and daily life was investigated, it was determined that 29 out of 36 topics were related to daily life, while 7 topics were not related to daily life. In summary, according to the evaluations, it was determined that the type of questions most associated with daily life was problems, with a rate of 91. The question type that was least related to daily life was activities with 7.6. Only 1 of the 13 activities in the textbook is associated with daily life. 35.8 of the exercises in the textbook relate to daily life. It was determined that 76.1 of the examples in the textbook were related to daily life. While 36 of the 48 learning outcomes in the 7th Grade Mathematics Course Curriculum are related to daily life, 12 of them are not related to daily life. The findings were compared and analyzed. Teacher opinions are included.

 Bu çalışmanın amacı; 7. Sınıf Matematik Dersi Öğretim Programının ve ders kitabının günlük hayatla ilişkilendirilmesi yönünden değerlendirmesini yapmaktır. Bu kapsamda matematik dersi öğretim programı ve ders kitabının günlük hayatla ilişkilendirilmesi yönünde incelemesi yapılarak matematik öğretmenlerinin de görüşlerine başvurulmuştur. Bu araştırma nitel araştırma modeline göre hazırlanmıştır. Çalışmada tekli durum çalışması deseni kullanılmış olup doküman incelemesi yapılmıştır. Millî Eğitim Bakanlığının okullara dağıttığı, hâlen kullanılmakta olan 7. Sınıf Matematik Ders Kitabı incelenmiştir. Araştırmanın geçerlik ve güvenirliğini sağlamak amacıyla amaç ve hedefler doğrultusunda hazırlanan veri toplama ile makale kapsamında veri kaynakları incelenmiştir. Bir matematik öğretmeni ve bir uzman görüşüne başvurulmuştur. Güvenirlik 100 olarak bulunmuştur. Ölçme aracının ilk hazırlanma aşamasındaki değerlendirmelere göre; ders kitabındaki konu başlıklarının günlük hayatla ilişkisi araştırıldığında toplamda 36 konudan 29unda günlük hayatla ilişki kurulmuşken 7 konuda günlük hayatla ilişki kurulmadığı belirlenmiştir. Özetle yapılan değerlendirmelere göre  91 oranında günlük hayatla en çok ilişki kurulan soru tipinin problemler olduğu saptanmıştır. Günlük hayatla en az ilişki kurulan soru tipi ise  7.6 ile etkinlikler olmuştur. Ders kitabında bulunan 13 etkinliğin sadece 1 tanesi günlük hayatla ilişkilendirilmiştir. Ders kitabındaki alıştırmaların  35.8inde günlük hayatla ilişki kurulmuştur. Ders kitabında bulunan örneklerin  76.1 inde günlük hayatla ilişki kurulduğu tespit edilmiştir. 7. Sınıf Matematik Dersi Öğretim Programındaki 48 kazanımdan 36sının günlük hayatla ilişkisi kitapta bulunurken 12sinin günlük hayatla ilişkisi kitapta bulunmamaktadır. Elde edilen bulgular karşılaştırılarak analiz edilmiştir. Öğretmen görüşlerine yer verilmiştir.
