Özet:

Historically, the phenomenon of multiculturalism, which has come to the fore especially in Western societies since the last quarter of the twentieth century and continues to increase its influence today, has been studied the underlying reasons for creating social consensus and having different consequences such as social segregation and the role of justice in this process. In the study, the emergence of multiculturalism as an alternative for nation-states, acceptance and application forms that differ between societies. In this context, how justice makes unity possible in multicultural societies and how it ensures social integrity while accommodating differences has been discussed in a theoretical framework. The theoretical discussion of the study was based on the views of John Rawls and Michael Walzer on justice and rights, and it was examined how the concepts of justice of these two thinkers can form a basis in multicultural societies. The scope of the study includes the process starting from the last quarter of the twentieth century and up to the present day, focusing especially on the practices of multiculturalism in Western societies and the relationship of these practices with justice. The limitations of the study are limited to the period and geography under study, and the study of the relationship between multiculturalism and justice in different geographies may be the subject of other studies. The importance of this study will be to better understand the relationship between multiculturalism and justice and to propose solutions to the problems faced by multicultural societies by looking from the perspective of justice. In addition, the potential contributions of John Rawls and Michael Walzers concepts of justice to ensuring social integrity and accommodating differences in multicultural societies have been discussed. Keywords: Multiculturalism, Justice, Rights.
