Özet:

The application of artificial intelligence in content generation is becoming increasingly prominent in the domain of screenwriting. This study aims to analyse the rhetorical expressions generated by artificial intelligence in Turkish and English film dialogues to identify cultural and linguistic similarities and differences. The theoretical framework allows for examining the capacity of artificial intelligence to incorporate culturally nuanced rhetorical styles in dialogues. This study employs qualitative text analysis to compare rhetorical and non-rhetorical dialogues generated by the artificial intelligence chatbot application ChatGPT for four different scenes in Turkish and English. In the analysis, traditional narrative structures and scene themes, which are considered to be widely used, were taken into consideration. By critically examining the role of artificial intelligence in screenwriting, this study aims to foster a more profound comprehension and discourse on the interplay between human creativity and artificial intelligence. Consequently, it endeavours to offer a novel perspective on how technology and creativity converge in cinematic storytelling and screenwriting, intending to grasp the prospective contributions of artificial intelligence to the screenwriting process.
