Özet:

Terminology is a crucial aspect of communication within any field, and the meanings of terminologies are shaped by various factors such as time, place, civilization, language, religion, custom, history, and various sciences. Muhammad Emara recognized the importance of editing terminologies in the modern era and produced several books on common terminologies in the intellectual arena. He aimed to clarify terminologies that represent thorny issues and confusing questions for both Arab and Western societies. This study examines Emaras approach to studying terminology and his written works related to this field. The paper consists of an introduction, two chapters, and a conclusion. The first chapter provides an overview of Emaras background and intellectual project aimed at renewing the Islamic nation. The second chapter focuses on his approach to studying terminology, including the importance of editing terminology for effective communication and understanding, his methodology in conducting studies, and his response to accusations made against him regarding terminology. Emara examines words in Islamic history, the Noble Quran, and the Noble Sunnah, and highlights any changes that occurred due to internal or external reasons. Overall, Emaras work emphasizes the need for well-defined terminologies to prevent disputes and promote effective communication.
