Imām Mālik’s Transmission of Some Narrations That Contradict Preservation of The Qur'an in The Context of His Perception of The Qur'an

 Muslims and most of humanity agree that the Quran is the only book that has been preserved in its original form throughout human history. Nevertheless, there are some narrations in the Islamic literature that might lead one to believe that there are deficiencies in the Quran. Imām Mālik is the author of the Muwaṭṭaʻ, one of the most authoritative sources of hadith in Islamic literature, and some narrations that may be considered contrary to the complete preservation of the Quran are also included in this work. Why were these narrations about raḍāʻbreastfeeding and rajm transmitted by Mālik b. Anas despite the problematic statements in their texts? Is there a difference in Imam Māliks perception of the Qurān? Seeking answers to these questions, this study focuses on Mālik b. Anass perception of the Qurān, his understanding of the preservation of the Qurān, and his reasons for transmitting these narrations. At the end of the research, it was determined that Imām Mālik did not have a different understanding of the Quran from the existing understanding of the Quran in the Islamic world, that he transmitted the relevant narrations in accordance with the principles of transmitting hadīth, and that he did not consider the aspects of the narrations that contradict the preservation of the Quran.

 Kurân-ı Kerimin insanlık tarihi boyunca orijinal haliyle muhafaza edilmek suretiyle bugüne intikal eden yegâne kitap olduğu konusunda Müslümanlar ve insanlığın büyük bir kısmı hemfikirdir. Bununla birlikte İslâmî literatürde Kurânda eksiklik bulunduğu vehmini ortaya çıkaracak nitelikte bazı rivayetlere rastlanmaktadır. İmam Mâlik de İslâmî literatürün en muteber hadis kaynaklarından biri olan Muvattaın sahibidir ve Kurânın eksiksiz muhafazasına aykırı kabul edilebilecek bazı rivayetler bu eserde de yer almaktadır. Radâsüt emme ve recm konularına dair bu rivayetler Mâlik b. Enes tarafından metinlerindeki problemli ifadelere rağmen niçin nakledilmiştir? İmam Mâlikin Kurân algısında bir farklılık mı söz konusudur? sorularına cevap arayan bu çalışma Mâlik b. Enesin Kurân algısı, Kurânın korunmuşluğu anlayışı ve söz konusu rivayetleri nakletme gerekçelerini konu edinmiştir. Araştırma sonunda İmam Mâlikin İslâm dünyasında mevcut Kurân algısından farklı bir anlayışa sahip olmadığı, ilgili rivayetleri hadis nakletme prensipleri doğrultusunda aktardığı ve rivayetlerin Kurânın korunmuşluğu ile çelişen yönlerini göz önünde bulundurmadığı tespit edilmiştir.
