Özet:

Minimalist art, with its fundamental principles of simplicity, clean compositions, limited color palettes, and the use of negative space, has had a significant impact on art and design. However, academic studies examining the effects of minimalist aesthetics in the context of photography and its relationship with this art movement remain limited. Addressing this gap, the present study aims to explore the influence of minimalist art on photography and analyze how minimalist aesthetics have been adapted into photographic practice. This research has been conducted within the framework of qualitative methodologies, incorporating an extensive literature review of academic studies, theses, and books on minimalist art and minimalist photography. Furthermore, specific minimalist photographers and their works have been examined through semiotic analysis, revealing the tangible effects of this artistic movement on photography. During the analysis process, both the aesthetic and conceptual dimensions of minimalist photography were explored, evaluating the fundamental principles, applications, and artistic contributions of this field. The findings indicate that minimalist art provides a powerful mode of expression in photography and significantly shapes photographic compositions. Minimalist photography, through elements of simplicity and order, creates a profound visual experience for the viewer while continually evolving with modern and contemporary interpretations. This study aims to fill the gap in the literature regarding the relationship between minimalist art and photography, serving as a valuable resource for researchers and artists working on minimalist approaches in art and design disciplines. Additionally, it is anticipated that this research will serve as a guide for professionals seeking to explore the aesthetic and technical possibilities of minimalism in photographic practice.
