Özet:

Art, which is as old as human existence and belongs to human beings, has manifested itself in different ways in societies in every age and period. Art shaped by human hands, perception and effort; It is one of the most important expression and expression methods. In this context, the art of primitive man, which took its place in the history of art as the first work of art, and the expressive side of cave paintings were examined. Purpose of the research; Based on cave paintings, it is to examine the features of the expressionism art movement that emerged in Germany at the beginning of the twentieth century and the works of artists. Expressionism movement opposed to the Impressionism movement, which emerged before it, to examine the outside world and transfer what they saw directly to their art, and it was a movement that the artist turned into himself and used objects and everything they saw to convey their own feelings and thoughts. In this direction, the effects of the first world war, the enslavement of people by the industrial revolution, the alienation of modern urbanism and the uncertainty of the future are the subjects of German Artists art. The art made as magic by primitive man, who seeks a supernatural power to take refuge in the face of the frightening power of nature in cave paintings, transforms into expressing the frightening aspects of wars and alienation in the twentieth century. In this direction, despite the intervening ages, the desire of man to express himself, its transfer to the outside world, the meanings attributed to art according to societies and civilizations, and the change it has undergone from the first age to the modern age have been tried to be revealed.
