Özet:

Orientalists have done a lot of research about the Islamic religion and have come up with ideas as a result of these research. The Encyclopedia of Islam, which brings together the ideas of Orientalists about the Islamic religion and is translated and published by the Ministry of National Education in Turkey, has been one of the foremost of these studies. Some objections have been raised from different parts of the Islamic world to the claims of the orientalists contained in this work. The Islamic-Turkish Encyclopedia, only two volumes of which can be published in Turkey, is also one of the publications in which these objections are expressed. Separate titles in the Islamic-Turkish Encyclopedia been determined at the end of the article in order to respond to the claims of orientalists, and here are the claims of orientalists and the answers given to them. The main subject of the study is which claims of orientalists are answered in the Islamic-Turkish Encyclopedia and in what way. The five articles identified as having answers to orientalists in the Islamic-Turkish Encyclopedia are evaluated together with the claims of orientalists and the answers contained in the encyclopedia. The scientific evaluation of these claims and answers is very important for our study. In addition to this issue, the scientific design of the methodology used in the claims and answers has also been another issue that our study has examined.
