Özet:

Digital art has become increasingly visible at the conceptual and formal level with the digitalization of technology with the electronic revolution and the opportunity for individual use. This type of art, which has an important place in todays art, is also fed by traditional production processes. The traditional method of sculpture production describes the process of creating a volume and mass from a formable material, while digital sculpture involves the use of technological tools to manipulate virtual objects as if they had made them. Although other art disciplines and methods such as painting, drawing, cinema and photography used digital technology in their fields much earlier, the technology required to produce a digital sculpture is much more complex and is relatively new as an artistic practice used in the digital world as an artistic practice. In this context, this study, which is considered as a research topic within the scope of todays art, focuses on the conceptuality and definition of digital technologies used at the instrumental level in the discipline of sculpture within the field of art. In addition, within the scope of the article, which is tried to be elaborated on the topics of technology and art, digital sculpture and digital sculpture, 3d modeling and 3d sculpting, examples of artists producing in the field of digital sculpture are included and inferences are made on the potentials of this technology-based opportunity in the discipline of sculpture.
