Özet:

The most important representative of football, which is the first branch that comes to mind when it comes to sports, is the technical directors of that team, which comes to mind first when it comes to success and failure, even if various factors can be counted for the success of a football team. The opinions of technical directors about football are one of the points of interest. From this point of view, the aim of the study is to analyse the opinions of the technical directors who have experienced championships in Turkey about football in Turkey. In this context, the special case method, which is one of the qualitative research approaches, was used in the study. Since obtaining detailed information in line with the examination of the views of the technical directors who have experienced championships in Turkey towards football in Turkey is directly in line with the purpose of the research, the method was tended to be used. The semi-structured interview form created by the researchers was used as the data collection tool of the research. In the research, the content analysis method was used in which the existence of codes in the qualitative data obtained in the analysis process was determined, themes were formed by bringing these codes together and inferences were made. The data obtained were subjected to content analysis through NVIVO-9 package programme. The research group of the study consists of 9 championship-winning coaches who voluntarily accepted to participate in the study from Turkish coaches in the Turkish Leagues from past to present. When the results of the study were analysed, it was seen that the belief changes of the coaches in becoming a champion were in a positive direction as the season progressed. In addition, they encountered positive and negative attitudes towards the attitudes of club managers in the championship year. In the evaluation of the difficulties encountered by the coaches in making the team champion in the Turkish League, themes such as lack of facilities and budget were revealed. Finally, the important factors that support a coach in the championship race are listed as club, fans, football players and family. Within the scope of these results, it is recommended that all measures should be taken to eliminate the difficulties experienced by the technical directors and that the federation should take serious measures to ensure that the managers exhibit more conscious behaviours in order for the coaches and clubs to be more successful. In addition, it is also recommended that more in-depth research should be conducted on technical directors.
