Özet:

The tradition of classical Turkish poetry has lasted for about six centuries in a widespread sense and has raised important representatives. In the 19th century, there were some changes and innovations in terms of form, content, meter, etc. in the poetry tradition compared to the previous centuries. After this century, although the tradition of classical poetry continued, it lost its former prevalence and continued to live in modern Turkish poetry, folk poetry and folk memory with its sources, motifs, similes and other elements. Today, there are poets and poems that continue the tradition, albeit partially, and include the patterns of the classical Turkish poetry tradition in terms of form and content. In this context, the poems written in classical Turkish poetry verse forms in the work Almıla by Hasan Şahmaranoğlu, one of the prominent personalities of this city like Kilis, which has historical and cultural richness and has raised many artists and poets from its bosom, will be analyzed. Seven ghazals, one indemnity and seven tahmis in the aforementioned work will be evaluated with examples from Şahmaranoğlus poems, taking into account his own poetic art and style, with his contacts with the classical poetry tradition. The poems of Şahmaranoğlu, who has an unforgettable place among the important figures raised by Kilis with his works and works, will be discussed in different aspects such as meter, content, literary arts as an actual representative of Kilis, where many poets came out in the classical literature tradition. In this way, the living forms of the classical poetry tradition in Kilis will be revealed in terms of form and content and a small contribution will be made to the field.
