Özet:

Following nearly three decades of peace with Russia, the Ottoman Empire entered a new war in 1768. This study analyses the military forces mobilised from the province of Bosnia during the 17681774 Ottoman-Russian War and examines the roles they played throughout the campaign. The qualifications required in these forces, problems encountered during the recruitment process, cases of desertion, and the identification of fallen soldiers are among the key issues addressed. The study is based on archival documents, sheriye registers, and sources of the period such as Başeski Şevkî Molla Mustafa and Salih Sıdkı Hacı Hüseyinzade. In this respect, the study aims to contribute to the research on the military structure of Bosnia in the eighteenth century.
