Özet:

The book has played an extremely important role in the cultural evolution of the world. At the same time, the attitude to the book at different times manifested itself in different ways. In the studies of a number of specialists, an aggressive attitude towards a book was called book genocide, biblioclasm, libricide, these concepts were identified, and the essence and causes of such behavior were often not analyzed. However, historical experience shows that aggressive behaviors towards the book arose for various reasons and the book was suppressed mainly for ideological reasons. There were a number of books banned by religious institutions and diverse authorities for various reasons, and those events were called as censorship. Such events as banning a group of books, restricting their use have been common in history. There are also many cases of mass burning of books, death sentences for reading a banned book. However, there have not been many events in the history such as burning books entirely according to national and linguistic characteristics as well as doing it demonstratively. In history there are cases of book genocide as a continuation of the national genocide, and it is wrong to identify this with any cases of book repression and censorship. The article compares and analyzes historical examples that distinguish the phenomenon of book genocide from other book repressions, and a different picture is obtained.

Dünyanın mədəni təkamülündə kitab son dərəcə əhəmiyyətli rol oynamışdır. Eyni zamanda kitaba olan münasibət də müxtəlif zamanlarda fərqli şəkillərdə özünü göstərmişdi. Bir sıra mütəxəssislərin tədqiqatında kitaba olan aqressiv münasibəti book genocide, biblioclasm, libricide kimi adlandırmış, bu anlayışlar eyniləşdirilmiş və belə davranışların mahiyyəti, səbəbləri çox zaman təhlil edilməmişdi. Lakin tarixi təcrübə göstərir ki, kitaba olan aqressiv davranışlar müxtəlif səbəblərdən qarşıya çıxmışdı və əsasən də ideolojı səbəblərdən repressiyaya məruz qalmışdır. Dini müəssisələrin və müxtəlid hakimiyyətlərin müxtəlif səbəblərdən qadagan etdikləri bir qrup kitablar olmuşdur ki, bu kimi hadisələri əsasən senzura olaraq adlandırmışdılar. Bir qrup kitabların qadagan edilməsi, onlardan istifadənin məhdudlaşdırılması kimi hadisələrə tarixdə çox rast olunur. Kitabların kütləvi yandırılması, qadagan olunmuş kitabı oxumaq öçün edam hökmlərinin verilməsi kimi hadisələr də çoxdur. Lakin milli xüsusiyyətlərinə görə, dil xüsusiyyətlərinə görə kitabları başdan-başa yandırmaq, eləcə də bunu nümayişkarcasına etmək kimi hadisələr tarixdə çox deyil. bu kısım, İngilizcesinde yoktu. İngilizcesine çevrildi ve özete eklendi . Tarixdə milli qenosidin davamı olaraq kitab qenosidinin həyata keçirilməsi hadisələri mövcuddur və bunu hər hansı kitab repressiyaları, senzura hadisələri ilə eyniləşdirmək yalnışdır. Məqalə kitab qenosidi hadisəsini digər kitab repressiyalarından fərqləndirən tarixi misalları müqaisə və təhlil edərək fərqli nəticələr əldə edir.
