Özet:

This study was carried out within the borders of Karmış Forest Sub-District Directorate affiliated to Çorum Iskilip Forestry Management Directorate. The study was conducted in gap in forest at different altitudes 1000 m, 1553 m and 1830 m. These areas are also used as pasture by the local people. The aim of this study is to determine the change of some physical and chemical properties of soil and vegetation structure depending on altitude. Soil samples for the study were taken in 2021. For soil analysis, a total of 30 soil samples were taken, 10 from each area 0-15 cm depth. According to the results of one-way analysis of variance; Statistically significant differences were found between the pastures in terms of average total nitrogen, organic matter, clay-sand content, lime content, pH and EC values. According to the results of the soil analysis, except for the very low average phosphorus content and high clay content of the soils at an altitude of 1000 m, no serious negative factor was detected in terms of the physical and chemical properties of the soils, which prevents the growth and development of plants. According to the results of analysis of variance, the botanical composition values of legumes, grasses and other families were found to be statistically different in terms of altitude. Although the vegetation had not reached grazing maturity in the study areas, it was observed that grazing was done and critical grazing periods were not paid attention to. Thus, the number of decreasers pasture plants that are nutritious for animals was found to be quite low. In addition, it was determined that Ranunculus constantinopolitanus and Dipsacus laciniatus which are in the invasive species, was common in the area. in order to get more vegetative yield from the grazing areas, it is recommended to pay attention to early spring, late autumn and critical summer grazing periods, top seeding with diminishing species suitable for the ecosystem, and combating weeds.
