Özet:

The political presence of Muslims in the Iberian Peninsula started with the entry of the conquering army under the command of Musa b. Nusayr and Tariq b. Ziyad in 711, and continued until the collapse of the Nasrid Sultanate of Granada in 1492. This long period of nearly eight centuries of political dominance of Muslims in al-Andalus is a history that has been kneaded by conquests that took place quickly and successfully, lands lost in a short time, rebellions, occupations, and turmoils that the region is frequently exposed to. However, different dynasties ruled in al-Andalus during the period when the political dominance was in the hands of the Muslims 711-1492. Al-Andalus, where different ethnic and religious identities live together, has been a remarkable area in the history of Islam with its political, scientific, and cultural history. It is known that in the rich history of Andalusia, women, who constitute half of the society, have a prominent and active position in scientific, political and social life. Especially the scenes in which Andalusian women are at the forefront in politics have been recorded in historical texts. In this article, which focuses on the role of women in the political history of al-Andalus, the political activities of some Andalusian women are described by limiting them to the Nasrîd Period 1238-1492, when they were most active.
