Özet:

This study aims to explore the perspectives of seasonal agricultural workers regarding their childrens education and propose solutions to address the challenges they face. The research was conducted as a phenomenological study in accordance with the qualitative research method. Through semi-structured interviews and participant observations conducted between October 2022 and January 2023 in three different schools in Menemen District, Izmir province, data were collected to gain insights into the experiences of these workers. Results indicate that attendance problems in schools are primarily attributed to economic constraints, transportation barriers, and instances of discrimination faced by their children. Proposed solutions include the establishment of boarding schools to ensure educational continuity despite frequent relocations, providing economic support to alleviate financial burdens, and promoting stable employment opportunities for parents. By addressing these issues, stakeholders can work towards creating a more inclusive and supportive educational environment for the children of seasonal agricultural workers, ultimately fostering their academic success and socio-economic well-being.
