Özet:

This study covers the development process of the Social Policy Perception Scale SPPS, aimed at measuring individuals perceptions of social policy. Accurately measuring perception in the field of social work is crucial to understanding the effects of social policies on individuals and society, and to analyzing how these policies are perceived. The study is a methodological research conducted on a group of 426 individuals aged 18 and over. Exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses were performed using statistical analysis programs such as SPSS and AMOS during the data analysis process. According to the results of the Exploratory Factor Analysis, the scale exhibits a unidimensional structure. The significant results of Bartletts Test indicated that the data were suitable for factor analysis. The results of the Confirmatory Factor Analysis also supported the findings. The Cronbachs Alpha reliability coefficient of the scale was determined to be 0.941, indicating a high level of reliability. The findings reveal that the scale, which presents a unidimensional structure, is a valid and reliable tool for evaluating individuals perceptions of social policy. The SPPS is considered a significant instrument for analyzing the impacts of social policy practices on society and will contribute to future studies in this field.
