Özet:

Unconventional collocations are among the significant expressive tools in classical Turkish poetry, reflecting both individual meaning production and poetic depth. These constructions transcend the logical order of everyday language and create an aesthetic space of meaning by uniting unexpected lexical elements. This study focuses on the unconventional collocations found in Yûsuf u Züleyhâ, a masnavi by the 15th-century poet Hamdullah Hamdî, and examines their semantic and stylistic functions within the poetic context. Rather than resorting to conventional expressions, the poet constructs original imagistic relations that intensify meaning and expand the boundaries of poetic language. These collocations are evaluated not only as rhetorical devices but also as unique expressions of intellectual and imaginative depth. The identified examples have been thematically classified under four main categories: metaphor-based collocations, embodiment-based collocations, connotative associations, and oppositional or incongruous pairings. Each group has been analyzed contextually, revealing the intricate relationship between poetic diction and aesthetic intention. The study also benefits from the reference work Contextual Index and Functional Dictionary of Hamdullah Hamdîs Masnavi Yûsuf u Züleyhâ, providing semantic insights into the contextual meanings of these expressions. Findings demonstrate how Hamdullah Hamdîs poetic discourse transcends traditional mazmun systems through his creative use of atypical collocations. These linguistic constructions expand the poetic language not only on the lexical level but also within the emotional, intuitive, and associative domains. As such, they function as semantic structures that invite deeper interpretive engagement and transform the poem into a multilayered space of meaning. Furthermore, these collocations serve as stylistic instruments through which the poet establishes his distinct voice, offering early traces of the Sebk-i Hindî style in Turkish classical poetry.

Hamdînin terkipler yoluyla kurduğu dilsel özgünlük, Sebk-i Hindînin öncül izlerini taşıyan estetik bir duruşun habercisidir.
