Özet:

Cultural, art, and tourism festivals play a significant role in the cultural and economic life of societies. At the same time, they contribute to strengthening social bonds and sharing common cultural experiences. The success and impact of these festivals depend on being effectively promoted, presented in an engaging way, and increasing participation. This is where poster designs come into play. Poster designs serve many important functions, such as announcing, promoting, attracting attention, increasing participation, creating a visual identity, informing, reminding, and reflecting cultural values. Festival posters visually reflect the themes and artists of the festivals, thereby enhancing the cultural experience. They introduce people to the festival concept, spark curiosity, and increase interest in the festival. Thus, festivals achieve their key objectives of sharing cultural and artistic values, gaining new experiences, and increasing social interaction. In this research, the poster designs of cultural, art, and tourism festivals held in Balıkesir in 2022 are analyzed through visual content analysis.
