Özet:

New technologies that affect and radically change many areas of social life have deeply affected the means of communication and especially the way the journalism profession operates. New communication tools have affected all news production processes, including reaching the news source, collecting and selecting news material, writing it and delivering it to the target audience, and have caused significant changes in the way of handling. Although it has the features of traditional newspapers, the internet newspaper has a number of new features and can produce and publish the same news in different formats on the same platform, thanks to its convergence feature. Accordingly, it is possible to state that the news writing rules and news writing techniques used in internet journalism have also undergone some changes. The research investigates which of the 5W1H elements are highlighted in political news in internet journalism and what kind of news writing techniques are used. For this purpose, content analysis was conducted on a total of 60 political news selected by random sampling method from the online newspapers of Hürriyet, Mynet and Sözcü. As a result of the content analysis, it was determined that, unlike traditional newspapers, some news writing rules and news writing techniques are frequently preferred in online newspapers.
