The opinions, diagnoses, and proposals of numerous government officials and figures from the clergy who identified the causes of dissolution in the Ottoman state system and societal structure, and provided significant suggestions for remedies reforms, are highly important in understanding the functioning of the process. Kâtip Çelebi 1609-1657 is one of these figures. Kâtip Çelebis examination of the dissolution during a relatively early period, his proposals to investigate and halt the dissolution, and his contributions to problem-solving through original treatment suggestions make him highly valuable.
