Özet:

Islamic morality, as taught by Prophet Muhammad PBUH and all prophets, mandates truthfulness and forbids lying. Since some narrations are presented as sources claiming that Prophet Abraham al-Siddiq lied, this study aims to identify and analyze those specific narrations in which his name appears alongside the term kedhib. These narrations fall into two groups. The first group, from Abu Hurairah RA, labels three statements of Prophet Ibrahim as kedhib. Some sources classify it as mawquf, which we find accurate. The second group concerns intercession on Judgment Day, where all prophets except Muhammad state they cannot intercede. In some versions of the narration, the three kedhibs or mistakes are cited as the reason, while most do not specify any cause. This situation suggests that some narrators mentioned the three kedhibs to explain why Prophet Abraham could not intercede. Additionally, in all versions, the verb kadhaba is used in the sense of ambiguous speech rather than lying, making its translation as telling a lie inaccurate. The study concludes that these narrations emphasize avoiding falsehood.

Hz. Muhammed s.a.s ve tüm peygamberlerin rehberlik ettiği İslam ahlakı, doğru sözlü olmayı emreder, yalanı yasaklar.
