Özet:

The aim of this study is to reveal the biogas potential that can be obtained from cattle waste in Aksaray province and to determine the energy equivalent of this potential. When the relevant literature is examined, the lack of any study examining the biogas potential of Aksaray province, the fact that 70 of the population makes a living from agriculture and animal husbandry, and the increasing importance of renewable energy has been the driving force in this study. Data on the amount of animal production in Aksaray city center and its districts were obtained from the Turkish Statistical Institute and the TR Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. According to the research findings, it has been determined that the district with the highest number of cattle and therefore the largest biogas potential is the Central district. When the data is evaluated on a provincial basis, the annual total amount of biogas that can be produced is 62421983 m3year. While the biogas to be produced has the highest thermal value in terms of electrical energy, the least thermal value is in kerosene. The findings will contribute to both the literature and practice. In this context, it is thought that the study will increase the awareness of researchers and practitioners and will shed light on new studies in this way.
