Özet:

Foreign trade relations between Israel and Türkiye, both Middle Eastern countries, largely depend on the agreements signed between the two countries. Two important agreements were made between Israel and Türkiye in 1997, both in the defense industry and in the economy. One of these is the Defense Industry Agreement and the other is the Free Trade Agreement. Especially with the implementation of the Free Trade Agreement, the foreign trade volume of the two countries has entered a period of continuous increase on a larger scale than in previous years. The aim of this study is to examine Türkiyes imports and exports with Israel, and the types of products and services subject to foreign trade, with monthly and annual data in 2013-2024 period, using a qualitative research method and descriptive analysis technique. The basic assumption of the research is that the political crises between Türkiye and Israel do not have a significant impact on economic and trade relations. Secondary data sources, Turkish Statistical Institute foreign trade statistics, country reports and Trade statistics for international business development, were used in the study. With an export of 5.422 milyon dollars in 2023, Israel ranked 13th among the countries with the most exports. The import volume from Israel in 2023 was 1.641 milyon dollars. While Turkeys share in Israels imports from the world in 2022 is 6,53 percent, Israels share in Turkeys exports to the world is 2,77 percent. While Turkeys share in Israels exports to the world was 3.38 percent, the share of Turkeys imports from Israel in total imports from the world was 0.67 percent. It has been concluded that the constantly increasing trade volume between the two countries creates economic dependency and that import and export rates are temporarily affected by crises in the political arena, making it extremely difficult for a sudden and sharp change to occur.
