 In addition to equipping individuals with musical and technical skills on their instruments, instrumental education can also provide opportunities for them to develop their own musical expression. Including taksim in instrumental training can contribute to individuals musical, technical, and creative development. Taksim can be described as a form of instrumental music that is improvised entirely in the moment, without adhering to a specific usul, yet within the characteristics of a particular makam. This form of improvisation may provide not only technical proficiency but also emotional expression, creative thinking, and musical freedom. The aim of this study is to examine the inclusion of taksim instruction in instrumental education within undergraduate-level professional music education programs. The research focuses on the presence of taksim instruction in the course content of instrumental classes offered in the Music Teacher Education Program of a Faculty of Education n1, Faculties of Fine Arts n3, Faculties of Art and Design n3, and Conservatories n7. The content of these instrumental courses was obtained from the course information packages available on the official websites of the Council of Higher Education YÖK and the respective universities. This study is a descriptive research conducted using the survey model. The data were collected through document analysis and analyzed using content analysis. According to the findings, taksim instruction is most commonly included in the 7th and 8th semesters of instrumental education, and it is predominantly found in the course content of instruments such as the Ud, Classical Kemençe, Ney, and Tambur.

 Çalgı eğitimi, bireye çalgısındaki müzikal ve teknik becerileri kazandırmanın yanı sıra, kendi müzikal ifadesini geliştirmesine yönelik olanaklar da sağlayabilir. Bireyin kendi müzikal ifadelerini geliştirebilmesi açısından çalgı eğitiminde taksime yer verilmesi, bireylere müzikal, teknik ve yaratıcı açıdan gelişimlerine faydalı olabilir. Taksimin, icracının makamın özellikleri içinde belli bir usule bağlı olmadan tamamen anlık olarak diğer bir deyişle doğaçlama yapılan bir çalgı müziği formu olduğu söylenebilir. Bu form ile yapılan doğaçlama biçimi, bireye teknik becerilerin yanı sıra duygusal ifade, yaratıcı düşünme ve müzikal özgürlük kazandırabilir. Bu araştırmanın amacı, lisans düzeyinde mesleki müzik eğitimi kapsamında çalgı eğitiminde taksim öğretimine yer verilme durumunun incelenmesidir. Araştırma kapsamında taksim öğretimine yer verilme durumu, Eğitim Fakültesi Güzel Sanatlar Eğitimi Bölümü Müzik Öğretmenliği Programı n: 1, Güzel Sanatlar Fakülteleri n: 3, Sanat ve Tasarım Fakülteleri n: 3 ve Konservatuvarlarda n: 7 verilen çalgı ders içerikleri üzerinden incelenmiştir. Çalgı ders içerikleri, YÖK ve ilgili üniversitelerin resmi internet sayfalarında bulunan ders bilgi paketleri üzerinden elde edilmiştir. Bu araştırma, tarama modelinin kullanıldığı betimsel bir araştırmadır. Bu araştırmanın verileri, belgesel taramayla elde edilmiş ve içerik analizi ile analiz edilmiştir. Araştırmanın sonuçları doğrultusunda, çalgı eğitiminde taksim öğretimine çoğunlukla 7 ve 8. yarıyıllarda yer verildiği, taksim öğretiminin çoğunlukla Ud, Klasik Kemençe, Ney ve Tambur çalgılarının ders içeriklerinde yer aldığı belirlenmiştir.
