 The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between the perceived digital game addiction levels of primary school 4th-grade students and their study habits. Sub-questions formed within the framework of the general purpose; The questions are whether students digital game addiction scores and study habits scores differ according to gender, digital game playtime, whether parents play games or not, whether parents impose a limitation on playtime, and whether the physical activity of the student is supported by the parent. In the research, correlational model and descriptive survey model, which are quantitative research methods, were used. The universe was determined as 9,549 4th-grade students in primary school located in Ümraniye district of Istanbul in the 2022-2023 academic year. The sample that has the ability to represent the universe is 465 primary school 4th grade students. In the form applied to the students, there are personal information, Digital Game Addiction Scale for Children and Study Habits Scale. SPSS 22.0 program was used in the parametric and non-parametric analyzes of the data. According to the analysis findings, it was revealed that there was a significant negative relationship between the digital game addiction scores and study habits scores of the students participating in the research. Moreover, there was a significant difference in the digital game addiction scores of the students according to gender, digital game playtime, fathers playing digital games, time limitation in digital game playing, and encouragement of physical activity. Significant differences were found in the study habit scores of the students according to gender, playtime, mothers playing digital games, time limitation in playing digital games and encouragement of physical activity.

 Bu araştırmadaki amaç, ilkokul 4. sınıf öğrencilerinin algılanan dijital oyun bağımlılık düzeyleri ile ders çalışma alışkanlıkları arasındaki ilişkinin belirlenmesidir. Genel amaç çerçevesinde oluşturulan alt sorular; öğrencilerin dijital oyun bağımlılık puanları ile ders çalışma alışkanlıkları puanlarının cinsiyet, dijital oyun oynama süresi, anne ve babanın oyun oynayıp oynamaması, oyun sürelerine ebeveyn tarafından sınırlama getirilip getirilmemesi, ebeveyn tarafından öğrencinin fiziksel aktivitesinin desteklenip desteklenmemesine göre farklılaşıp farklılaşmadığına yönelik sorulardır. Araştırmada, nicel araştırma yöntemlerinden olan korelasyonel model ile betimsel tarama modelinden faydalanılmıştır. Evren, 2022-2023 eğitim öğretim yılında İstanbul ili Ümraniye ilçesinde yer alan 9.549 ilkokul 4. sınıf öğrencisi olarak belirlenmiştir. Evreni temsil etme yeteneğine sahip olan örneklem ise 465 ilkokul 4. sınıf öğrencisidir. Öğrencilere uygulanan formda kişisel bilgiler, Çocuklar İçin Dijital Oyun Bağımlılığı Ölçeği ve Ders Çalışma Alışkanlıkları Ölçeği vardır. Verilerin parametrik ve non-parametrik analizlerin yapılmasında SPSS 22.0 programından yararlanılmıştır. Analiz bulgularına göre araştırmaya katılan öğrencilerin dijital oyun bağımlılığı puanları ile ders çalışma alışkanlıkları puanları arasında anlamlı düzeyde negatif ilişki olduğu ortaya çıkmıştır. Bununla birlikte öğrencilerin dijital oyun bağımlılığı puanlarında cinsiyete, oyun oynama süresine, babanın oyun oynamasına, dijital oyun oynamada süre sınırlaması olmasına ve fiziksel aktiviteye teşvik edilmesine göre anlamlı farklılık olduğu görülmüştür. Öğrencilerin ders çalışma alışkanlık puanlarında cinsiyete, oyun oynama süresine, annenin oyun oynamasına, dijital oyun oynamada süre sınırlaması olmasına ve fiziksel aktiviteye teşvik edilmesine göre anlamlı farklılıklar tespit edilmiştir.
