Özet:

It is possible to say that weak ḥadīth is one of the most complex premises in terms of its nature and parts among the subjects of ḥadīth methodology. According to our research, there are some logical problems in the definitions made both in the classical period and in the recent period in order to revealits truth. Especially, when these definitions are considered in the context of its relation with mawḍūʿ ḥadīth, it is understood that these definitions are not sufficiently comprehensive. For this reason, first of all, the definitions of weak ḥadīth will be determined chrono logically and examined especially in terms of its relationship with mawḍūʿ ḥadīth. For this purpose, firstly, the classical period ḥadīth methodological works will be consulted and the problems in question will be revealed. Then, modern period ḥadīth works will be evaluated in the same way. Based on the fact that the literature is very extensive, Ibn Ṣalāḥs definition will be taken as a basis and if there are definitions different from it, they will be emphasised. As a result, if definitions that eliminate the problems mentioned can be identified, attention will be drawn to them. Otherwise, a new definition will be tried to be made for weak ḥadīth that will solve the afore mentioned problems.
