Özet:

This study examines the impact of responsibility and altruism on workplace behaviors of employees in the IT sector. Today, more and more firms are using artificial intelligence technologies to increase their competitiveness. AI has been widely adopted in areas such as data mining, industrial robotics and human resource management. In this context, employee responsibility has become an important incentive mechanism, generating both extrinsic and intrinsic motivators. Corporate social responsibility contributes to strengthening employee relations and establishing a mutually beneficial bond between the firm and its employees. This study analyzes the impact of employees sense of responsibility and altruism on change in the IT sector in Turkey. Data were collected from 210 employees through convenience sampling. As a result of the regression analysis, it was found that there were significant relationships between responsibility and altruism and employees responsible behaviors at 0.01 significance level. In particular, a moderate positive relationship was found between altruism sub-dimensions of selflessness and selflessness. 93.33 of the participants defined themselves as selfless, which indicates that employees have an intrinsic motivation to exhibit altruistic behaviors at work.
