Özet:

Shamanism in Turks is a re-systemized from of ancient Turkish beliefs consisting of Sky, Earth-Water and Ancestor cults, practiced by religious and healing people called shamans. Kams are people who deal with works such as healing diseases, exorcising evil spirits, performing ceremonies and practices that bring abundance, etc.; they act as doctors, clergymen, magicians, theater artists, storytellers, and are educated both in the mystical plane and in the real world, depending on the situation. Kams use various objects in their practices. Because the gods and spirits they receive help from, the environment in which the ceremony is held and the purpose of their use are different from each other. Some objects are simple and only functional but some objects are made by a talented artist or the kam himself, which can be considered as work of art. The patterns, appliques, depictions, pictures and metals used in kam dresses and kam drums contain intense symbolism and mystery. Among the objects used by kams for various purposes are those that have artistic and at least ethnographic value. Bells, rattles, whips, weapons, etc. The aim of this study is to bring together and discuss the objects used by the Turkısh kams in the mentioned types of ceremonies in Central and Central Asia, especially those that seem valuable in terms of art and ethnography. The selected examples are examined chronologically according to their regions. Sometimes, it will go back to the Hun-Gokturk period, but mostly the works belonging to the last centuries will be discussed.
