Özet:

In this study, it was aimed to examine the validity and reliability of the Multidimensional Psychological Flexibility Inventory Short Form MPFI-SF developed by Rolffs, Rogge, and Wilson 2016 in an adolescent sample by adapting it into Turkish. A total of 995 volunteer high school students, 430 girls and 565 boys, participated in the study. The ages of the students ranged between 14-18 and the mean age was 15.32. EFA, CFA and criterion validity analysis were conducted as validity analysis. As a result of EFA, a two-factor structure with 24 items explaining 6803 of the total variance was obtained. The factor loadings of the items in the inventory ranged between .68 and .91. CFA results showed that the goodness of fit indices χ2Sd2.197; CFI.97; NFI.92; IFI.96; TLI.95; RMSEA.072; SRMR.032 were at acceptable levels. Correlation analyses related to criterion validity were found to be significant in the expected direction. Cronbach Alpha and test-retest reliability coefficients were calculated to determine the reliability of the inventory. The Cronbachs Alpha reliability coefficient was .97 for the psychological flexibility subscale and .96 for psychological rigidity; the test-retest reliability was .85 for the psychological flexibility subscale and .83 for psychological rigidity. As a result, it can be said that the CBPEE-CF is a valid and reliable instrument that can be used to determine the psychological flexibility levels of adolescents.
