Özet:

Ecological problems have emerged as a result of the reckless and relentless use of nature as an inexhaustible resource, the negative effects of human actions on the ecosystem, capitalisms unceasing desire for growth, and the dominance of capital over nature. Various problems can be seen in the management and organization of these areas, which are protected by special laws. The main purpose of the study is to evaluate how national park studies started in Turkey, the current status of national parks, and how the arrangements, interventions or plans made for these areas are realized within the framework of political ecology. In this context, the legal legislation prepared for national parks and the decisions taken were examined and the reflections of these decisions were examined. According to the findings of the study, while the protection of the ecological integrity of these areas and their sustainable use without damaging their resource values are emphasized on an international and national scale, it has been observed that there are examples contrary to these decisions in practice and in the decisions taken, protected areas are opened to tourism, activities such as mining, energy, tourism are permitted, status cancellations and border changes are made, and different projects are carried out and actions that harm ecological integrity are exhibited.
