Özet:

In this study, it was intended to investigate the effect of wind as a renewable energy source on natural ventilation of interior spaces. In this scope, firstly, a comprehensive literature research was conducted and a conceptual infrastructure was created for the study with energy efficient building design and natural ventilation concepts and criteria. In the continuation of the study, the 21 housing project of TOKİ Mass Housing Development Administration, that is the most implemented throughout Turkey, was selected for natural ventilation analysis and the necessary documents were accessed from the relevant units. The building model of the selected type project was prepared and natural ventilation analyzes were carried out in five different climate zones with the help of the Solidworks program-Flow Simulation add-on. During the prepared model simulation process, the air flow effect caused by the buildings located outdoors was neglected and the focus was on the air circulation in the interior spaces. Finally, At the end of the study, it was determined that effective natural ventilation was provided in living spaces in all climatic regions, but the kitchen space was inadequate in natural ventilation. Additionally, in hot climate regions, balcony spaces do not receive cooling supplements, and in cold climate regions, the prevailing wind increases the heating load depending on the direction of arrival of the building.
