Özet:

When the Turkish Republic founded, the idea of interlacing Anatolia with iron nets, that is linking the country thoroughly, was spreaded all around the country as a Republic enthusiasm. This railway excitement was regarded as one of the symbols of the young Turkish Republic with the Tenth Anniversery March in which the pride of being turk emphasized. One of the significant projects of this great progress was the transportation of the railway to Antalya, accordingly to the Akdeniz region. Both “Lakes Area” people and Antalya people were enthusiastic about the railway project. Unfortunately Afyon-Antalya railway line Project couldn’t be accomplished. The railway line was finished in Burdur and could not be reached to Antalya even though the project, feasibility studies and the routes were determined. Thus the railway dream of Antalya resulted in disappointment.
