Özet:

In this study, the question of what perception and orientation is espoused regarding women in Turkey in the theses prepared on women in hadith science is analysed. It was determined that the theses on women in hadiths are limited; the number of studies has increased in recent years, and gained momentum with the theses under way. The aims, methods, sampling levels, data collection instruments, differences between the approaches, and findings of the theses completed in the last decade on women and hadiths were critically described through meta-synthesis method and presented on various tables and charts. Thirteen theses were analyzed, and it was determined that “virtuous woman” and “special conditions of women” sample levels were the main topics in two theses, and the main findings of all theses were different. Furthermore, despite topical differences, it was observed that there were certain correlations between the secondary aims and results of certain theses. It was determined that understanding and interpreting the narratives were secondary common objectives and reviewing the narratives as a whole was also a secondary common objective in some theses. Contributing to the discussions was a secondary common objective and hadith education for women in the family and determination of the related narrative were secondary common results, and the view that the related narration was not contrary to the Ḳurʾān was a secondary common result.
