Özet:

Socialist realism is a political and literary doctrine officially adopted by the Soviets in 1934 and imposed on Soviet writers. According to this doctrine, writers should act as engineers of society and write their works accordingly. In Soviet Kurdish literature, Erebê Şemo is one of the first writers to compose his works using the methods of socialist realism. In his works, he addresses the helplessness and poverty of workers and peasants, and then leads them to knowledge, happiness, and comfort through socialism. The heroes of his works are therefore always grateful to the Soviets. Moreover, they are devoted and loyal defenders of the new system. In both of his novels, Hopo and Jiyana Bextewar, Erebê Şemo presents the prototype of the new Soviet man. In these novels, he condemns landowners, beys, and employers, while praising Lenin and the Soviet system. In this study, the life of Erebê Şemo, his works, and the traces of socialist realism in both of his works, Hopo and Jiyana Bextewar, are examined. Additionally, the traces of gratitude towards the Soviet system in these two novels are explored and analyzed.
