Özet:

Concepts such as freedom, equality, right and justice are concepts that have been interpreted in subjective perspective from past to present and tried to be placed in the framework of universal, objective values. From ancient times to the present day, the concept of justice, which is seen as the basic condition of good life and order in the social environment, which is the ground for its realization, has had different perspectives and appearances in subjective terms. Plato and Aristotle, the two great thinkers of antiquity, not only created a conception of social order through this concept, but also put forward an understanding of virtue. Justice, which is the basis of order, is also recognized as a virtue by these two thinkers. Platos and Aristotles views on the concept of justice are often analyzed in the context of their ethics and politics. In both cases, it is pointed out that justice, which is conceived as a virtue, is handled in similar ways by the two thinkers in question. However, there are some perspectival differences in the positioning of the concept of justice by these two thinkers. This study will focus on how Plato and Aristotle position the concept of justice as a virtue and the manifestations of this positioning in human relations. Then, how Plato and Aristotle position justice and virtues in general in their understanding of ethics and politics will be discussed. Finally, a controversial comparison of these two thinkers conceptions of justice will be presented.
