Özet:

One of the most important arguments between philosophy and theology is certainly “the theory of emanation”. Philosophers attempted to explain the consistency and possibility of this aforementioned theory through the concepts of abstract substance, reason and the soul. The same philosophers also in the context of this argument attempted to base the existence of “non-material substances” on two basic principles. One of them is the principle of “only one comes into existence the one from which “the hierarchy of reason” comes out, and the other is the principle of “endless circular movements that heavenly spheres have” described by “love theory”. However the critical point in the discussions of emanation is the claims of the philosophers that God has a character doing His acts with compulsion in emanation. Thus, the theologians that defend the idea of “creation from nothing” and rejects the emanation theory in this argument form their basic thesis on the rejection of ontological realities of non-material substances and the contradiction that arises between philosopher’s acceptance of emanation as a compulsory process and God’s free will. In this speculative argument, Lâhîcî, one of the commentators of prominent Shiite theologian Tûsî and a philosopher-theologian, not only criticized the philosophers’ evidences but also refused to consider theologians’ objectives as realistic. Nonetheless we can say that Lâhîcî accepted the idea of “creation from nothing” that Sunni theology embraces as a basic notion.
