Özet:

Poems are influenced by the world of thought and emotion of the period in which they were born, by means of literary movements. Symbolism, one of the movements affecting both the content and technique of poetry, emerged in Europe at the end of the 19th century. Magcan Cumabayulı, one of the founders of modern Kazakh literature, widely uses the symbolism movement he knows through Russian literature in his poems. Influenced by Russian symbolists, Cumabayulı does not use symbolism to turn his back on reality. Symbols with rich suggestion and connotation possibilities enable the reader to feel the truth in all its dimensions in his poetry. East, which is at the center of the poets poems titled OtFire, PayğambarProphet, KünşığısEast, is not only used as a direction name. This concept is symbolized by the poet by reconstructing it with an original content. East; In poems, it is personified and made the representative of an attitude, stance, culture and thought. In contrast to the evil foci, which are represented by the West in the poems and smear the world with blood, the East has a culture that strives for the good of even these evil foci. The owners of this culture embark on a struggle of compassion and enlightenment to serve the world again after the inertia they have experienced. Magcan, while revealing the colonialist understanding that ravaged the world, with the symbol of the West; points out that the solution is in the East, which has never resorted to oppression and exploitation in terms of its history and culture. In his three poems, which are modern examples of Kazakh poetry in terms of techniques and content, the poet has a humane and national attitude towards what is happening around him.
