Özet:

The increasing popularity of cities in tourism has led to an increase in the number of academic studies on the subject in recent years. However, this situation has led to more complexity in the issue, concepts and boundaries of urban tourism. Urban tourism is a rapidly growing research area in Turkey as well as in the world. For this reason, this study aims to evaluate academic studies on urban tourism in Turkey in an integrative framework with the systematic literature review method. The systematic literature review method is a way of integrating a fragmented and ever-growing research topic. In this context, literature review has been conducted in December 2023 in Google Scholar, DergiPark, Ulakbim, TR Index and YökTez databases with the keywords Urban Tourism, City Tourism Urban Tourism and Urban Tourism. In this context, a total of 53 studies, 34 articles and 19 theses, were included in the study. These obtained studies has been analyzed using the content analysis method. According to the results of the research, it is seen that the number of urban tourism studies in the national literature is quite low.
