Özet:

Crises are events that can be encountered anywhere, anytime, and everywhere in public administration as well as at the level of local governments. Since some events need to be responded to quickly, crises need to be managed effectively. In this context, crisis management is a process that starts with taking necessary measures before a crisis starts and continues until it ends. The aim of this study is to measure the perception of crisis management in local governments. In this context, the study reveals the perception of crisis management among the personnel in Kahramanmaraş Metropolitan Municipality. The method of the study is a quantitative research method, and its technique is a questionnaire. Within the scope of the study, the crisis management scale was applied to 326 municipal personnel. IBM SPSS 20 software was used for the data in the study. These data were evaluated using frequency analysis, central tendency statistics, normality test, the Mann Whitney U Test, and the Kruskal-Wallis test. As a result of the study, it was determined that the crisis management perception of the staff was at an average level min. 3.05-max. 3.87. In this context, various suggestions have been presented to increase these perceptions of employees.
