Özet:

The relationship between tekhne and art is an issue that has been debated since Antiquity until today. Although tekhne is generally used for craft and fine arts, it is an act of revelation in essence. Tekhne, hence art, is the ability to see what reveals its presence before it is formed, that is, as a sculpture, vessel or painting. There is an ontological character in this definition. There is a process involving encountering with the real, that is nature -physis- and revealing what is hidden in it. This orientation to nature -physis- is also present in science and technology and in this framework, they are linked to tekhne etymologically. Creativity, which can be defined as the act of ‘bringing existence’ in essence, ‘revealing existence’, also interweaves with technics. This study, in the first place, attempts to reveal the ontological context behind art, while tracing the relationship between technic, technology and science with art. After showing this ontological context, it aims to examine the position of art through new media art in the post-modern period, where the end of art is discussed along with all concepts, where science instrumentalizes nature and where it is gradually becoming digital. In this context, its fundamental question is questioning how interactive new media art, which tries to reach the audience / participants with the language of the digital age, invites the audience to an encounter with the supposed ontological existence inherent in art, in other words, with her/his existence itself and life.
