Özet:

This article aims to examine the Qurans ethical philosophy within the context of a societal morality model that extends from individual responsibility to community consciousness. The Qurans moral teachings are founded on the principle of institutionalizing individual virtues within the social structure. Firstly, the study analyzes the individuals moral obligations and fundamental individual virtues such as justice, benevolence ihsan, patience, and gratitude within the framework of Quranic verses. It is emphasized that each individual is responsible for their actions and that moral perfection can only be achieved through personal effort. Then, it is discussed how this individual moral structure is reflected at the social level. The Quran encourages the transformation of individual moral virtues into a community consciousness through concepts like social justice, solidarity, consultation shura, mercy, and mutual assistance. The article argues that the Quran positions not only the individual but also the community formed by individuals as a moral agent. It posits that societal well-being is possible through the combination of individual virtues and a mutual understanding of responsibility. To demonstrate the practical implications of this theoretical framework, Prophet Muhammads Medinan period practices are analyzed in detail. Through examples such as the Medina Document, the brotherhood of Ansar and Muhajir, and war and peace treaties, the transformation of individual morality into social norms and how a just social structure is built are demonstrated. It is noted that the community model established under Prophet Muhammads leadership maintained a delicate balance between individual rights and responsibilities, and societal benefit and justice. Furthermore, the article discusses how this Quranic model of morality can offer a solution to contemporary ethical crises, considering issues such as excessive individualism, social disintegration, moral relativism, and ethical dilemmas prevalent in todays world. In conclusion, this study asserts that the Quran proposes a human-centered yet community-conscious moral construction. This model offers a balanced approach between individual freedom and social order, responsibility and solidarity, providing universal and sustainable ethical solutions for contemporary societies.
