Özet:

When the last Ilkhanid ruler Abu Said Bahadur Khan reached the age of twenty, he met Bagdad Khatun in the Ujan plateau. This encounter was a turning point in the lives of both Abu Said Bahadur Khan and Bagdad Khatun. Bagdad Khatun was the daughter of Amīr Chupan, the amīr al-umarā of the Ilkhanids. At this time Bagdad Hatun was married to Shaykh Hasan of the Jalayir tribe. The Ilkhanid ruler eliminated Amīr Chupan and his son Dimashq Khwaja in order to marry Bagdad Hatun. Then he forcibly divorced Bagdad Khatun from Shaykh Hasan and took her into his marriage. However, Abu Saids love for Bagdad Khatun did not last long. Then he married Dilshad Khatun, daughter of Dimashq Khwaja and nephew of Bagdad Hatun. Dilshad Khatun, with her beauty and intelligence, soon became the favourite of Abu Said Bahadur Khan. However, the marriage of Abu Said and Dilshad Khatun lasted for two years. When Abu Said Khan died in 1335 without leaving an heir to the Ilkhanid throne, Dilshad Khatun was pregnant. After Abu Saids death, Dilshad Khatun did not stay in the chaotic Ilkhanid capital of Tabriz, but travelled to the Diyarbakr ruler Amīr Ali Padshah. During this period, Dilshad Khatun was an important figure for groups seeking to establish authority in the Ilkhanid lands. In 1336, Shaykh Hasan of Jalayir from Anatolia defeated and slaughtered Amīr Ali Padishah and took control of Tabriz. He then took Abu Saids former wife Dilshad Khatun into his marriage. Dilshad Khatun was married to Shaykh Hasan from 1336 until 1351, the year of his death. During this period, she took the responsibility of administrative affairs within the Jalayirid State. She also patronised artisans as well as taking care of charity works. This study focuses on the life of Dilshad Khatun with reference to Jalayirid and Timurid sources as well as research works.

Son İlhanlı hükümdarı Ebu Said Bahadır Han yirmi yaşına ulaştığında Ucan yaylağında Bağdad Hatun ile karşılaştı. Dilşad Hatun, güzelliği ve zekâsıyla kısa sürede Ebu Said Bahadır Hanın gözdesi haline geldi. Fakat Ebu Said ile Dilşad Hatunun evliliği iki yıl kadar sürdü. Ebu Said Han 1335 yılında İlhanlı tahtına bir varis bırakmadan öldüğünde Dilşad Hatun hamileydi.
