Özet:

This study presents a descriptive analysis of the academic literature published in the field of hadith in Turkey between 2010 and 2023. The study employs a systematic approach through quantitative parameters to examine the publication dynamics of hadith research during the specified period. The data sets created aim to identify publication patterns and trends in the field of academic production. The research encompasses various parameters, including the chronological distribution of works published in relevant years, publication categories, language diversity, and publishing houses. Specific data on each variable were determined through analysis. Three separate data sets were created, titled Hadith Library Hadith Academy and Theologies The collected data were then analyzed around the determined research questions, and systematic inferences were developed. In the data collection phase, the catalogues of national publishing houses, the YÖK Academic Platform, the YÖK Information Management System and various academic databases were consulted as sources of reference. A methodological approach was adopted to complete the missing data. The compiled data were subjected to a categorical classification and evaluated by quantitative analysis methods, and the findings were transferred to visual formats. In the study, the publication activities of academics working in the hadith department and the publication activities of researchers contributing from other disciplines were evaluated comparatively through the data sets created. The findings yielded an opportunity to analyse the dynamics of interdisciplinary interaction and the contribution of different academic approaches to the field, as well as to reveal the quantitative dimension of the academic production of researchers in the field of hadith. Furthermore, the effects of the numerical increase in the number of faculties of theology in 2012 and afterwards, as well as the impact of the global pandemic on hadith literature, were examined. This led to the formulation of several hypotheses in this regard. In this regard, the study examines the evolution of hadith studies in Turkey over the past thirteen years, analysing trends in publishing activities from a historical perspective through an examination of printed publications. It also offers suggestions for future research directions.
